Serve on whole-wheat burger buns and top with lettuce and tomato slices. If you have any extra burgers, wrap them in plastic and freeze for later.

  • 1 egg
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1/2 c. rolled oats
  • 1/3 c. diced onion
  • 1/2 c. chopped spinach
  • 2 tbsp. reduced-fat shredded mexican-blend cheese
  • Salt and pepper

Directions

    1. Step 1Whisk the egg in a large bowl. Add everything else and mix–your hands are the best tools–until well blended. Form into 4 patties.
    2. Step 2Place the burgers on a grill over medium-high heat. Cook 4 to 6 minutes per side or to your desired level of doneness.
